Peggy was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 16, 1953, to Inez Green and Ervin Leo Green. She spent most of her childhood in Dalhart, Texas and spent her adult life in Amarillo, Texas. Peggy was a well-loved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She adored her family and spent every moment she had thinking of them. She was an avid bingo player who never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone. She spent a lot of her free time playing cards with friends, watching Walker, Texas Ranger, and shopping through TV ads and infomercials. However, her favorite pastime included scaring those around her. You could have made her entire world by gifting her dangly earrings and anything with beautiful butterflies.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Walter Olivarez Jr.; her two eldest children, Rachel Wilson and Stephen Beard; her parents; two brothers, James Green and Roger Dale; and her beloved grandmother, Ambia Lorraine Clark.

She is survived by her husband, Gregorio Rodriguez; her two sisters, Mary Green and Jean Grimes; her brother, Kenneth Green; her daughter, Rose Hernandez and partner Roldolfo Bustos; and her daughter, Crystal Champlin and husband Jason Champlin Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tori and her husband, Seth Green, Angel and her husband, Rudy Vigil, Robert Hernandez, Troy Hernandez, Sammy Hernandez and his partner, Marissa Kibbler, Danny Hernandez, Shaylyse Ewing and her partner, Quinton Rhodes, Hayley Ewing, Jason Champlin Jr., Jayce Champlin, and bonus granddaughter Erica VanBuskirk and her partner, Isiah Castanuela. Along with her great-grandchildren, Athena, Connor, Heavenlee, Harmoney, Hope, Kendrick, Killian, Preston, Ilania, Alyvia, Ace, Andreas, Gabriella, Nova, soon to be Quinton Jr., Ash, and Lainey. Last but not least, all of her fur babies she had over the years.
