Richard "Jack" Dale Pierce

Jack Pierce, 70, of Dumas, TX passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Graveside services will be at 11 am, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Tecumseh Cemetery with John Fanning as officiant. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.

Jack was born February 17, 1956, in Odessa, TX to Jack and Merna (Traylor) Pierce.

Jack Pierce lived a life defined by integrity, service, and unwavering devotion to his family. A proud graduate of Dumas High School in Dumas, Texas, he carried the values of hard work and community with him throughout his life. Those values were evident in his lifelong commitment to the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was honored as a member of the Order of the Arrow. His passion for Scouting continued into adulthood as he enthusiastically guided and supported his son on the journey to earning the rank of Eagle Scout, creating memories and lessons that would last a lifetime.

Jack was equally devoted to his family in every aspect of life. Whether cheering from the sidelines, volunteering, or simply being present, he was an active and encouraging supporter of his son's athletic pursuits. His greatest joy came from investing his time and energy in the people he loved.

A dedicated student and accomplished professional, Jack earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University before completing his Master of Business Administration at West Texas A&M University. Throughout a distinguished career in finance and executive leadership, he served in roles as a Certified Public Accountant, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer for several respected organizations and hospitals in West Texas. He was widely recognized for his financial expertise, sound judgment, and steadfast leadership, earning the trust and respect of colleagues wherever he worked.

Above all, Jack will be remembered for his character, generosity, quiet strength, and the lasting impact he made on his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by wife Tiffany Pierce, Father Jack Pierce, Mother Merna Pierce, and brother Bob Pierce.

Survivors include Son Thomas Olson and wife Melissa; grandson Cedar Lee, sister Patricia Clements and husband Roy with their three children Morgan Rowell, Jake Clements and wife Michelle, Great niece Jayci Casher and husband Daniel with their two children Caia Casher and Clara Casher, Great nieces Lauren Jennings and Paisley Schalles, Great nephews Grayson Rowell and Anson Schalles.
