Rito Reynosa Carrasco - December 17, 1937 – October 9, 2025
Rito was born in Amarillo, TX on December 17th, 1937 to Andres and Virginia Carrasco. He was 87 years old at the time of death. He lived a life of hard work and being a strong family man. He worked for J. Lee Milligan and Llano Cemetery before retiring from the City of Amarillo. During his retirement he still found time to work and remodel his families homes.
Rosary will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at 6 PM at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Taylor Elzner as celebrant. Burial is at Llano Cemetery.
Rito loved to sit in his recliner and watch Cowboy movies and his Dallas Cowboys when he wasn't sitting on the porch or driving his truck around The Barrio listening to the oldies.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Virgina and his father Andres, mother-in-law Frances and father-in-law Leo Salazar, his children: Helen, Rito, Jesse (Gordo), Leo (Nosey), and son-in-laws Rick Garcia and Danny Ballin, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
He is survived by his wife- Angie Carrasco, children- Rita Ballin, Pat Carrasco, and Johnny Carrasco. Grandchildren- Tanya Ballin, Virgie Carrasco, Amanda Ballin and significant other Gill Herrera, Angela Garcia, Sonja Garcia and long-time boyfriend John Garcia, Cassandra Soleyjacks and husband Robert Soleyjacks, John Carrasco Jr, Patrick Rueda, and Isaiah Carrasco. 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
Special thanks to all the nurses and doctors that helped. A very special thank you to: Cassandra Soleyjacks, Isaiah Carrasco, Johnny Carrasco and Albino Sifuentes for taking extra special care of him all the way to the end.
