Roberta “Robin” Lynn Olguin, 65, of Amarillo, TX, passed from this life to her eternal resting place, November 2, 2025.
Viewing will be from 8 am – 8 pm, Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery.
Robin was born February 16, 1960 in Thermopolis, WY to Gayln Grant and Hallie Jean Berry. The family moved to Amarillo the following year. Robin grew up on the east side of Amarillo with her brothers where they attended school at Lawndale, James Bowie Jr High, and Caprock High School. She was a tomboy at heart and was quick to stand up for others in the neighborhood. Being the oldest, Robin acted as a second Mom to her brothers and kept them in line.
Robin was first married to Jesus Ramos Sr where they had three sons together. Following their divorce, she married Samuel Olguin and was blessed with a daughter. After his passing, she married Manuel Olguin Jr. and had two daughters. Robin and Manuel Olguin Jr. were married for 35 years before his death in 2015.
She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always attended all of their events and was the loudest supporter in the crowd. Many people referred to her as “Mom” and were loved by her fiercely. Robin had a special relationship with her grandmother, Edna Mae Berry and they spent lots of time together.
Robin was a hard worker and made many lifelong friendships with some amazing people while working at the UPS Store and Xcel Energy.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Olguin and Manuel Olguin Jr; her mother, Hallie Jean, and grandchild Austin Creek.
Robin is survived by her father, Gayln Grant; her brothers, Greg Grant of Amarillo, TX, Kevin Grant of Lubbock, TX, and Vance Grant of Lubbock, TX; her children, Jesus Ramos Jr. of Amarillo, TX, David Ramos and wife Nicole of Belgrade, MT, Josh Ramos and wife Kasey of Bozeman, MT, Tammy Creek and husband Matt of Amarillo, TX, Angela Edwards of Amarillo, and Crystal Olguin of Post, TX and 14 grandchildren.
