Rosa Rodriguez

Rosa Rodriguez, 55, of Amarillo, TX died Friday, May 24, 2024.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Manny De Los Santos officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Rosa was born May 28, 1968, in Columbia City, IN, to Roel Morin Garza and Beatrice Vega Vasquez.

Rosa grew up in Rio Grande City. She attended Rio Grande City High School. Rosa also attended Amarillo College where she graduated in 2003 with her associate degree as a Medical data specialist. She then started her Truck driving career in 2008 where she obtained her CDL in Little Rock, Arkansas. Rosa loved to travel and sightsee. Anyone who knew her, knew her grandkids were her everything. They were the center of all her conversations. She loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Rosa was known for her contagious laugh, once she started, we all knew it was going to be hard to get her to stop. A few words that would describe Rosa would be: Joyful, lovable, smart, strong, independent, intelligent, and wise.
    
She was preceded in death by her father, Roel Morin Garza; and mother, Beatrice Vega Vasquez

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Rodriguez; three grandkids, Ezekiel Evan Jones, Serena Marie Jones, and Isabella Rose Rodriguez; her sisters, Norma De la Cruz, Irma Garza, and Noelia Garza; her twin brother, Roel Garza Jr.; nephews, Cristobal De la Cruz Jr., Juan Antonio De la Cruz Jr., Carlos De la Cruz, Jorge Luis Martinez, and Christian Garza; nieces, Cristina De la Cruz, Daisy Garza, and Anahi Corona.
