Rose Mary Younger

Rose Mary Younger, 81, of Amarillo, TX passed away January 19, 2026.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Rose Mary was born August 14, 1944 in Wellington, TX to Malcome and Una Horton. She married George Younger in November of 1963 in Wellington, TX. Rose Mary was another mom to numerous children in her care. She was 12 years old when she gave her life to the Lord, at her home church Lillie Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband George; and daughter, Ellen Modene Younger.

Rose Mary is survived by son, Cary Younger and wife Marisa; grandsons, Tyler Younger and wife Jessica, and Zachary Younger and wife Briana all of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Maxine McGarry of Oklahoma City, OK, Donna Barnett of Amarillo, TX, and Shirley Lively of Amarillo, TX; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jaydan, Gracie, and Aubrey.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
