Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Emanuel Burgo officiating.

Rudy was born February 14, 1964, in Lubbock, TX to Rudy Moreno Sr. and Selda (Esqueda) Moreno.

He never met a stranger, and he spoke to anyone he met. He loved his best friend and wife, his children, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always told them the importance of school, college, sports, and especially family!

Rudy’s passion was cooking on the grill for everyone, especially his in-laws, and gatherings for anyone and occasion they needed. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan from head to toe, die-hard! Rudy loved Harleys but never got to fulfill his dream of getting his and going to travel. He was part of the Forgotten Teen Run and enjoyed the Toys-for-Tots Run. He was a huge advocate of Mama Lynn and Bo Ioor’s Ride for the Cure Breast Cancer Run. He always wanted to make sure he had a part of making sure ALL kids had a Christmas.

He also loved playing pool, especially tournaments. Of most importance was his love for his church and church family at St. Matthew’s Methodist Church.

Rudy was the owner of RA Concrete Construction. Rudy’s love of art with concrete was his joy in making sure his customers were happy with his work. He took great pride in working with concrete and said nothing was impossible to make as long as people were happy and enjoyed it.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Urbano and Antonia Esqueda, Ygnacio Enriques, and Concepcion Jimenez Moreno; brother, Gilbert Herrera; father-in-law, Gilbert Valverde; son-in-law, John Cook Jr..

Survivors include his wife, Anna V. Moreno; his children, Dominique and husband Vincent Rodriguez, Shaun Castro, and Mariah Moreno-Cook; grandchildren, Analez Ramos and husband Brennan, Echo Sifuentez, Meadow Sifuentez and fiancé Jose Caraballo, Jameson Rodriguez, Tristan Castro and fiancée Jaylynn Martinez, Maliyah Moreno-Cook, Zemeri Moreno-Cook, and Willow Moreno-Cook; great-grandchildren, Joshua Caraballo, Elias Martinez Valverde, and Baby Ramos; mother, Selda Equeda, father, Rudy Moreno Sr. and wife Lydia; mother-in-law, Amelia Valverde; brother, Michael Esqueda, Ricky Moreno and Chris Moreno; sister, Loretta Moreno; his fur babies, Blu, Prissy, and Sabie; many aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
