Sanjuana "Nena" Munoz Mendoza

Sanjuana “Nena” Munoz Mendoza, 75, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 29, 2025.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Llano Cemetery. 

Nena was born in Valle Hermoso, Mexico on December 6, 1949, to Juanita (Martinez) and Mariano Munoz. She attended Caprock High School and went on to receive a business degree from South Plains College.

Nena married Porfirio “Blondie” Mendoza on January 18, 1969.

Nena worked as a supervisor for Levi Strauss for over 35 years. She also managed the jewelry at Erwin’s Pawn Shop for 16 years.

She loved to travel, spend time with her family, and watching Novellas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Mariano Munoz; two brothers, Manuel Munoz and Alvaro Munoz.

She is survived by her husband, Blondie Mendoza; brothers, Ezequiel Munoz and wife Gina, and Cresinco Munoz and wife Yolanda; daughter, Linette Mendoza; son, Chris and Stacy Mendoza; grandchildren, Chris Mojica, David Mojica, Cheylyn Mendoza, Marisa Davila, and Codie Mendoza; and great-grandchildren, Aaliah Sifuentez, Erik Gonzalez, Kylie Nevins, and Kayden Barbosa.
