Shelia Marie Hamilton

Shelia Marie Hamilton of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Amarillo. Born on October 22, 1956, in Houston, Texas, to Virginia Lee Jones and the late Ellis Houston Jones, Shelia leaves behind a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.

She is survived by her two sons, Chad Everett Hamilton and his wife Christina Ann Hamilton, and Tyler Ellis Hamilton and his wife Dawn Marie Rykalsky. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Garrett Dean Hamilton and Addison Leslie Hamilton.

Shelia is also survived by her mother, Virginia Lee Jones of Clovis, New Mexico, and her three sisters: Tammy Renee Alston of Buda, Texas; Jenny Ann Alston of Boerne, Texas; and Denise May (Jones) Schmaltz and her husband Nick of Carthage, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Houston Jones, who passed away in 2021, and her sister, Kellie Lee (Jones) McCarty, who passed away in 1997.

Honoring her personal wishes, Shelia chose not to have a traditional funeral service. Instead, she asked that those who loved her gather together to spend time with friends and family in her honor.
