Shirley Jeanette Holmes, 74, of Amarillo, Texas passed away September 8, 2026.

Her memorial will take place at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount.

Shirley was born July 9, 1952 in Cameron, Texas to Fred Owens, Jr. and Earline Williams. She grew up in Hereford, Texas and later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Shirley enjoyed visiting family in Panhandle, Texas, spending time on the family farm, and eventually moving to Amarillo.

Shirley married Willie Holmes on February 14, 2004. If you knew Shirley, you know she loved shopping and taking endless selfies.

She is preceded in death by her son, Quincy Booker; her parents; three brothers; and her step-father.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Holmes; son Danny Booker; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all who loved her dearly.
