Shirley Jeanette Sluder

Shirley Jeanette Gariepy Sluder, 85, of Amarillo Texas passed away on June 23, 2024. 

Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM, Friday, June 28, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Triumphant Truth Church. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Shirley was born in Borger, Texas on June 17, 1939, to Rose Patricia Hart and Harvey J. Gariepy. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1957.

Shirley met Johnny Sluder in high school, and they married shortly after graduation on November 23, 1957. 

Shirley was a farm wife, parts runner, cook and truck driver for their farm for many years. Shirley and Johnny were members of the Triumphant Truth Church. Where Shirley was a prayer warrior and was a great intercessor. If you needed prayer, she was the one to call. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Sluder; Mother, Rose Particia Hart; Father, Harvey J. Gariepy; and brothers, Harvey J. Gariepy Jr., Albert Ray Gariepy, and Fredrick Eugene Gariepy

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Smith and husband Gary; sons, Randy Sluder and wife Tanya, Michael Sluder and wife Janis; grandchildren, Crystal Flowers and husband Craig, Tiffany Borchardt and husband Shay, Jonathan Stevens and wife Brittney, Scott Smith and wife Haley, Joshua Sluder and wife Kenna, Jill Schilmoeller and husband Matt, Megan Drusch and husband Alex, Ryan Sluder, Jace Sluder and wife Jessica, and Trey Sluder and wife Ruth; great-grandchildren, Keelie De Los Santos, Kaegan Stevens, Mason Flowers, Archer Smith, Kyler Stevens, Preston Flowers, Barrett Smith, Davis Sluder, Austin Sluder, Clayton Sluder, Halle Sluder, Reid Schilmoeller, Grace Schilmoeller, Violet Schilmoeller, Raylan Sluder, Bryson Drusch, and Grayson Drusch; and great-great-grandchildren, Emerson De Los Santos, Heartley De Los Santos, and Teegean De Los Santos.
