Stephanie "Steph" Jean Sherrill, 55, of Pueblo, Colorado, died May 10, 2025 at her home in Pueblo with Scottie, Katie and Eric by her side.
Memorial services will be at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Stephanie was born on October 15, 1969 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Linda and Jim Sherrill. She graduated from Highland Park, then went on to graduate from Amarillo College where she became a licensed Respiratory Therapist and moved to Colorado to pursue her career.
Anyone who knew Steph knew how she was full of life. She loved the outdoors and had a special fondness for dragonflies - spotting one always brought a smile to her face, and she believed they were gentle reminders from loved ones. Steph was also a devoted Colorado Rockies fan; whether they were winning or not, she proudly wore her purple and black and never missed a game when she could help it. She loved spending time with her daughter and grand babies; her pride and joy.
She never met a stranger...ever! She lit up a room when she walked in. I know we say that, but Steph truly did! She demanded it, without even knowing she did.
She went nonstop. Cheerleading, basketball, track, softball, volleyball, gymnastics, even a couple years semi-pro women's football for Colorado.
Truly one of the most fun-loving people God put on this planet!
Steph was preceded in death by her father, Jim Sherrill and nephew, Jeremy Sherrill.
She is survived by her partner, Scott Takeda; her children, Shea Montgomery of Amarillo, Katie and husband Derek Saunders of California; grandchildren, Olive, Bruce, and Brayden Saunders and Skylar and Remington Montgomery; also by her mother Linda Sherrill siblings, Carrie
Sherrill, Michelle Sherrill and Stacey Griffin, Eric Sherrill and wife Kristi, all of Amarillo, nieces and nephews, Megan Cahill and husband Robert of New Jersey; Justin Clement of Phoenix, AZ; Lane Jones of Amarillo; Jake Sherrill, Hayley Sherrill, and Cameron Samperi of Amarillo; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her cats, Puppy and Tink.
Steph is and will be soooo, missed. Rest in Peace. We love you!
