Stephen (Steve) Joseph Kincaid, 78, of Amarillo, TX passed away July 20, 2026.

Steve was born February 1, 1948 in Des Moines, IA to Warren and Colleen Kincaid. He grew up in Dallas and moved to Amarillo during his high school years, quickly making the Texas Panhandle his home. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1966. Steve then attended West Texas State University where he was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. The majority of his career was spent as a stock broker. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing, fly-fishing and hunting upland birds. Loyal to his Texas roots, he never missed a Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers game. Steve brought people together through his love of cooking. He took pride in his skill at the grill and often prepared delicious holiday meals for his family. Extremely proud of his grandchildren, he found great joy in talking with them about their life experiences and achievements.

He is preceded in death by his parents Warren and Colleen Kincaid; sister Joan Kincaid Robison; and brother, Bill Kincaid.

Steve is survived by son, Stephen Scott Kincaid and wife Tammy and their children, Ben Kincaid, Owen Kincaid, and Luke Kincaid all of Amarillo, TX; Hilda Easley of Aledo, TX and her children, Tracey Walters and husband Brett and their children, Blake Walters and Ellie Walters all of Aledo, TX and Brian Easley and wife Suzanne and their children, Grace Easley and Mason Easley all of Frisco, TX; sister Jan Stein of Angleton, TX; and brother Bob Kincaid of Katy, TX.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Steve’s life.
