Sue Schroeter, 83, of Amarillo, Texas passed away October 30, 2025.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 3, 2025, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Sue was born in Mena, Arkansas on December 25, 1941. She graduated from Pampa High School.
She was a long-time resident of Hereford, Texas where she was a teacher, homemaker, and worked at the Deaf Smith County Clerk’s Office. Above all she was a devoted wife and mother.
She enjoyed many hobbies, but she spent much of her time being active in church and praying for friends and family. She loved studying the Bible and teaching others about the Bible and the plan of salvation.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Alex.
She is survived by her three children, Becky Ray of Hereford, Jim Curtis and wife, Elizabeth, of Hereford, and Quincy Curtis and wife, Tarabeth, of Amarillo; and three stepchildren, Denise Word and husband, Wayne, of Checotah, Oklahoma, Doug Schroeter of Hereford, and Debra Dixon and husband, Jim, of Hurst, Texas. She is also survived by three sisters, Patsy Gnaw and husband, Ed, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sharon Pitcox of Brady, Texas, and Sandy Kitten and husband, Charlie, of McKinney, Texas. She also had many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren she loved dearly.
The family will receive guests from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Quincy’s home.
