Taylor Blaine Poynor

Taylor Blaine Poynor, age 34, born November 22, 1991 in Amarillo, Texas to Lynn Glisson and Curtis Poynor, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026 in Rosston, Oklahoma.

Taylor will be available for viewing from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with a viewing to following the service until 5:00 PM. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Taylor graduated from River Road High School in Amarillo in 2010. He went on to pursue a truck driving career working for Affiliated Foods and Plains Transportation. Most recently, he joined his Momma over the road as a PEVO operator.

One thing everyone who knew Taylor could agree on was that he could never take a serious picture, somehow, no matter the occasion, Taylor would find a way to turn a picture into a memory that made everyone laugh. Those little moments are the memories his family and friends will hold onto forever.

Those that are left to cherish the memories are his loving parents, Lynn Glisson, Curtis and Paulette Poynor. He leaves behind his beloved son Zaiyden Troy, siblings, Joshua Poynor and wife, Kari, Scotty Poynor and wife, Tisha, Brittani, and her husband, Daniel Worsham, Mason and his wife Laura Cain, Savannah and her husband Hunter Brice. Taylor is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that will forever love, miss and cherish him.

Taylor was preceded in death by Wayne and Nettie Glisson, Linda and Paul Rodgers and Larry Poynor.
