Terri Joyce Morris, 51, of Amarillo, TX passed away February 21, 2026.
Visitation will be from 2-3:00 PM, prior to the funeral service at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Terri was born May 14, 1974 in Amarillo, TX to Lonita Leal and Mark Moore. She grew up in Amarillo, TX and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1992.
Terri was full of life and that seemed to take her wherever the wind blew. She loved and loved hard! She would have your back and made sure you felt her love,
Terri had many jobs throughout her adult life but her last two stood out the most. She worked for The Big Texan for 14 years and during that time, she loved dress up days. She always had fun creating tons of “work” costumes, it was never just a uniform. The last 7 years, Terri worked at Ye Olde Pancake Station where she made tons of friends who lasted a lifetime with her. She had a passion for serving and talking. When you sat down at her tables, you became family! She knew how to treat you!
Terri loved her family! She finally married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Morris on April 24, 2025. Even though they had been life long partners for over 30 years.
Terri had 3 strong young men but were always her “babies”. Matthew 33, Joshua 32, and Cody 27.It was always amazing to listen to her talk about family. You could feel the love pouring out of her. She loved family events, loved to dress up, and be a kid herself. Terri enjoyed taking trips from camping the weekend away to quick trips to Ruidoso cabin life. She discovered the joys of cruise ships and her last big adventure with Chuck was to Belize. She would light up talking about that trip.
Terri’s time was short before they made it to Cancun for their anniversary. She loved the beach and the sand between her toes. She wanted to see the sunset and blue waters. Terri did not lose her battle to cancer, she finished it with grace and now can rest in peace.
Terri is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Lonita Leal; inlaws, Allen and Diane Morris; grandparents, Loney Sr., Juanita, Daniel Sr., and Felisa; and aunts and uncles, Betty, Judy, Brenda, Tommy, and Loney Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Morris; children, Matthew (Destiny), Joshua, and Cody (Laichelle), and Ariel; 14 grandchildren, Kyle, Jolene, Odell, Joss, Kaleb, Kayson, Kota, Noah, Hermiley, Heavenlee, Madre, Braeden, Carson, and Conor; sisters, Rebecca Barrios (Efrain), and Pamela Morales (Gilbert); numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends that have all become family.
