Theresa Wink Gill

Theresa Wink Gill, 95, of Fort Worth, TX passed away May 28, 2026.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 5, 2026 at Llano Cemetery with Dr. Howie Batson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Theresa was born August 12, 1930 in Amarillo, TX to John and Mary Wink. She was active in the 4H club and later, Sunny Side Extension Service. She modeled a self-designed swim suit at a 4H convention in Galveston, TX where she won 1st place. Theresa was a graduate of Drawn’s Business School where she learned to be a secretary. During her career as a secretary, she worked for Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch and the spent the majority of her career committed as one of the lead secretaries until retirement for the Santa Fe Railroad.

She spent 60 wonderful years with Ed William Gill before his passing. Theresa later married Percy L. Sturkie.

She is preceded in death by husband and life-long love, Ed Willaim Gill; father, John A. Wink; mother, Mary Neusch Wink; sisters, Lucielle White and Anna Marie Kalka; brother, Eugene Wink; son-in-law, Robert (Bob) D. Murphy; and husband, Percy L. Sturkie.

Theresa is survived by daughter, Cathi Lee Murphy; son, Mark Ed Gill, and wife Paige Charlotte Gill; grandchildren, Leighan Edwards, Brian Edwards and wife Jen, Casey Gill, Travis Gill and wife Kate, J’Hon Gill, and McKenna Gill; and great-grandchildren, Brooke Edwards, Trinity Edwards, Paige Edwards, Easton Gill, McKenzie Edwards, Tarrin Edwards, Zeke Gill, Jenson Gill, Parker Gill, and Price Gill.
