Amarillo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tommie Allyne Brown our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished great-great-grandmother, who went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2025, at the age of 95.

Viewing will be from 12:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, Texas.

Tommie was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She married Ernest Brown and together they raised their two daughters, Linda and Paula. A devoted stay-at-home mother, Tommie ensured her girls were raised in a loving, nurturing home while instilling in them a strong work ethic that she herself embodied. She began working at the young age of 14 and remained a hard worker throughout her life taking pride in every role she held.

Tommie lived life fully and joyfully. She loved visiting casinos and playing slot machines and often brought her love of games to family gatherings with favorites like Left, Right, Center. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, she could often be found cheering them on. When she wasn’t watching football, Tommie enjoyed shopping—especially online or at her favorite store, Walmart.

At a young age, Tommie fell in love with dancing. If the doors were open at Cattlemen’s or Caravan, she was there—dancing her heart out until the age of 86, when she finally hung up her dancing shoes. Along the way, she met her long-time dance partner and dear friend, Travis.

Tommie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and endless stories. She was the heart of her multi-generational family and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion. As the proud matriarch of her family, she had the joy of watching it grow to include six generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen, and Velma Seales; her brother and sister-in-law, Bobby, and Joyce Seales; her daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jim Braswell and Linda Jones; her niece, Debbie Glover; and her grandson and his wife, David and Jennifer Jones.

Tommie is survived by her grandson Mickey Braswell; granddaughter Mindy Wilson and her spouse Lathan; nephew Mark Seales and his spouse Cindy; her great-grandchildren Cody, Destiny, Brandon, Charles, Kayla, Ashley, Casey, and Meredith; her great-great-grandchildren Jayden, Slade, Kinsley, Edward, Ariel, Kiley, Weston, Lathan, Blakely, Jeremiah, Paisley, and Kambrie; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tommie’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
