Tony Conrad Huckabay

Tony Conrad Huckabay, 82, of Valle De Oro, TX, passed October 12, 2023.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at HIS Church, 6300 Arden Road, with Pastor Joel DiAngi officiating. Private family burial will be in Llano Cemetery with military rights. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Tony was born March 20, 1941, in Amarillo to Connie and Ivy Huckabay.  Following his graduation from Palo Duro High School in 1959, he served in the US Army, 1960-1963.  He completed his service with the 82

Airborne, Fort Bragg, NC.

On December 14, 1963, he married Jo Jean Johnston.  They were married almost 60 years.

Tony was a life-time member of The Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 196.  Training and riding quarter horses was his passion.  This led to his enjoyment of making and engraving western silver spurs, bits, and belt buckles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Don and wife, Kathryn, and Jerry Huckabay.

Survivors include his wife, Jo; a daughter, Pam Dominguez and husband, Karl, of Amarillo; a son, Cody Huckabay and wife, Angelia, of Mansfield, TX; a brother, Wade Huckabay and wife, Terry, of Montgomery, TX; a sister, Virginia Fuller, of Richmond, VA; and a sister-in- law, Lanell Huckabay of Canyon; four grandchildren, Bailey Dominguez, Dawson Dominguez, Mitch Huckabay, and Christopher Huckabay.
