Tony Ray Daily

Jun 2, 1959 — Jul 10, 2026

Tony Ray Daily, 67, residing in Amarillo, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2026.

Tony was born on June 2, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas, to Linda Kay Justus and Glenn Wayne Daily. He graduated high school in Canyon, Texas in 1977. Immediately after, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country until 1981. He achieved the rank of Hull Technician Second Class (HT2), E-5. His time in the Navy was one of the proudest chapters of his life. He spoke often of his years of service and carried the values, pride, and spirit of a sailor throughout his life. Those who knew him knew that he was Navy at heart, and he often said he likely would have made it a lifelong career had life taken a different path.

Following his military service, Tony built a successful career as a sales representative with Jenkins Doors & Windows, where he worked faithfully for 31 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to serving his customers and coworkers.

Outside of work, Tony had a passion for classic hot rods and old cars, enjoyed riding horses, and could often be found watching Westerns or military movies. He appreciated the simple things in life and was happiest when surrounded by family, sharing stories, or reminiscing about his time in the Navy.

Tony lived by his faith, always putting God first and family second. He was a strong-willed, fiercely independent man whose determination carried him through life's challenges. He was known for being strict when needed, but beneath that firmness was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who cared deeply for those he loved. His guidance, loyalty, and unwavering love will remain with his family forever.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Linda Kay Justus and Glenn Wayne Daily, his grandmother Kathleen Williams, step sister, Debbie Cook and his beloved granddaughter, MarayJa Noel Daily.

He is survived by his daughter, Candace Annice Daily; his son, Kizer Ray Daily; devoted Mother to his children and friend, Julie Stambaugh; his sister, Angela Thompson; step-brother, Walter Cook; step-sister, Nan Cook; and his cherished grandchildren, Skyler Harper, Michael Ray Daily, and Sophia Izabel Daily. He also leaves behind extended family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Tony's legacy is one of faith, honour, hard work, and unconditional love for his family and his country. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Fair winds and following seas, Sailor. Your watch is complete.
