Tricia "Trish" Gail Shipley

Tricia "Trish" Gail England Shipley passed away on May 30, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 71.

Family services will be scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo, Texas.

Trish was born on July 12, 1954, in Idalou, Texas, to Jimmy Bruce England and Winnie "Dinks" Schmidt. Throughout her life, she carried a warmth and light that drew people to her. She had a genuine smile, a contagious laugh, and a sparkle in her eyes that those who knew her will never forget.

More than anything, Trish loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her children fiercely and without condition. She stood by them through every season of life, celebrating their victories and supporting them through their struggles. Her love was steadfast, protective, and endless.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffry Lynn Shipley; her children, Nikkie Diane Love, Justin Lee Singleton, and Atlas Deshon England and spouse Bri England; her stepchildren, Charley Shipley, Jeffry Shipley, and Jared Shipley; her granddaughters, Harlee DeShon McDowell and Evelyn Gail Singleton; her great-granddaughters, Savannah and Edith; a great-grandson; her siblings, Rick England and Tabby Martinez; half siblings Bruce and Michael; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Dinks, her brother, Rusty England, half-sister Rose Reza, and her niece Bethany England.

Trish found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching General Hospital and One Life to Live. She was a talented crafter who paid attention to every detail and spent countless hours creating beautiful handmade items. Many family members and friends cherish blankets she lovingly crocheted, and her contributions to family reunion auctions became treasured traditions. She also had a fondness for collecting turtles, along with many other keepsakes that brought her happiness over the years.

Her favorite phrase, "Who loves ya baby?" was more than a saying—it was an expression of the warmth and affection she shared so freely. Anyone who knew Trish knew that her love was genuine and abundant.

For her youngest child, Atlas, she was not only a mother but also a best friend. The bond they shared was one of deep love, trust, and companionship. Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but her love, wisdom, laughter, and memories will continue to guide those she leaves behind.

Trish's legacy is one of fierce love, generosity, loyalty, creativity, and kindness. Her family takes comfort in knowing that while her earthly journey has ended, the impact she made on the lives she touched will endure forever.

She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with love always.

Trish was a devoted animal lover, and few things brought her as much happiness as her dogs. After the loss of her beloved dog Tandy, Atlas found a feisty little Chihuahua near Lake Meredith and knew she needed a special companion. That dog became JuneBug, and she quickly captured Trish's heart. Alongside her beloved ColeBerry, whom she adopted through Chloe's Canines Dog Sanctuary of Amarillo, JuneBug became a constant source of comfort, laughter, and companionship. Anyone who knew Trish knew how deeply she loved her dogs, and it was impossible to talk about her life without mentioning them.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Chloe's Canines Dog Sanctuary of Amarillo, Texas, in honor of Trish's love for animals and in gratitude for bringing ColeBerry into her life.
