Amarillo

Tricia Lynn Wilkie ascended to heaven on the wings of angels to be with Jesus and her Daddy at the young age of 49 on October 31, 2025. She was born on August 3, 1976, in Amarillo, Texas.

Tricia’s services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 1100 S. Harrison, Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX.

Tricia’s true joy of life began when she met Eric Wilkie at Bonham Middle School. At just 14 years of age, Tricia and Eric “liked” each other – a sweet young love that grew into a loving marriage built on devotion, laughter, and shared faith.

Tricia graduated from Amarillo High School in 1994, where she played on the tennis team. She won numerous singles and doubles tournaments. Her love of tennis continued throughout her life – she played in leagues and cherished time on the court with friends.

She and Eric both graduated from Texas Tech University, where Tricia earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance in 1997 and 1998, respectively. She was also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta.

On July 11, 1998, Tricia and Eric were married in the First Presbyterian Church.

Tricia and Eric moved to Las Colinas while Eric attended Baylor Dental School, and Tricia worked for Ernst & Young, traveling extensively while supporting Eric through his studies. After Eric graduated, they moved back to Amarillo, where Eric began his dental practice.

In recent years, she worked alongside her brother, Trey, and her father in the family business, bringing her sharp mind and gentle spirit to the work they shared at Wilkinson Mortgage Capital.

Tricia’s heart for service extended into her community as well. She was active in the Junior League, serving on its executive board, and on the Board of Directors for the Medical Center League House of Amarillo.

Tricia’s daily love and devotion were to her daughters, Lauren and Madelyn. She was so proud of them and loved to attend all their school activities and sporting events. She was always on the sidelines at Lauren’s tennis matches and Madelyn’s volleyball games. Tricia was faithful in taking Madelyn to all her activities. She also made numerous trips to Lubbock to visit Lauren at Texas Tech to attend sorority events. Tricia was able to enjoy many family trips, ranging from beach resorts, cruises, and ski trips.

Tricia is survived by her husband, Eric, and two beautiful daughters, Lauren, 19, and Madelyn, 15. Her mother, Jo Lynn Magee Wilkinson, her brother, Trey Wilkinson, and his wife, Abbey, and their two children, Parker, 9, and Elizabeth Anne, 7.

Her father-in-law, Jerry Wilkie, and his wife, Dr. Joan Riker Wilkie.

Her Uncle, Kelley Magee, and her Aunt Janis Magee Smith. Her cousins, Steve Magee and his special love, Anne Lobaito.

Her cousins, Stephanie Magee Smith, her husband, Paul, and their children, Miles and Maggie.

Her Aunt Debbie Sims and her husband, John, and several cousins.

Tricia was preceded in death by her father, Robert N. “Bob” Wilkinson, Jr., in April of this year, her grandparents, Col. Robert N. “Wilkie” Wilkinson and Eloise G. Wilkinson, her grandparents, Dorris Magee McDonald and William G. McDonald. Her mother-in-law, Diana Wilkie, her Aunt Lisa Magee, and a cousin, Brent Hodge.

Tricia’s life was a gift – a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. Because of her love for pink and colorful clothing, Tricia would be happy if those attending her celebration of life wear colorful clothing.

In lieu of flowers, Tricia requested donations to the Harrington Cancer Center, 1751 Wallace Blvd. Amarillo, TX 79106, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, online, or First Presbyterian Church, 1100 S. Harrison, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
