Uvonne Marie George

Uvonne Marie George, of Amarillo, Texas earned her angel wings on July 27, 2025.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 31, 2025, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Uvonne was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 7, 1953 to Nettie Marie Woods and Wallace Taylor Sides.

She was married 45 years to her loving husband Robert George. She was a beautiful and loving woman inside and out. She made an impact on everyone she encountered. The world would be a better place if there were more people like her. She will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Nettie Sides, her true love and husband Robert George; and her brother Leslie Sides.

Survivors include a daughter Angela Gipson and her husband Shannon Gipson, and son James George all of Amarillo Texas.

Grandchildren include Tanner George and his wife Jamie George of San Antonio, Texas; Dana Johnson and her husband Raymond Johnson of Woodward, Oklahoma; Andrew George of Dallas, Texas; Aragon Tenorio, Austen Gipson and Nevaeh Gipson all of Amarillo, Texas; and great grandchildren, and dear friends Sandra Wood, August Lucero, and Karen Freyer.
