Vicki Marie Welborn Nation

Vicki Marie Welborn Nation went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the age of 67.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 South Georgia, with Pastor Mike Martin officiating.

Vicki was born August 29, 1957, to Dub and Marjorie Welborn in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1975 and went on to Amarillo College to earn her associate’s degree in 1978.

She worked for Amarillo College in the counseling center for several years and later served at South Georgia Baptist Church as secretary for over 10 years.

Vicki met Tim Nation in 1981 in Amarillo, and they married on December 3, 1981.

Vicki was a proud mother to Amber and Kara and “Nana” to her grandsons Ethan and Jonathan. She always kept in touch with family, and loved all her nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She also had a love for dogs and had several throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dub and Marjorie Welborn.

Vicki is survived by her husband Tim Nation, daughter Amber Nation, daughter Kara Arrant and husband Kyle, and two grandsons, Ethan Arrant and Jonathan Arrant, all of Amarillo. She is also survived by her sisters Brenda Sadler and Kathy Medina of Amarillo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
