Vickie Sue Fowler

Vickie Sue Fowler was born on November 1, 1951, in Alva, Oklahoma, to Raymond Levi Main and Betty Jo Main. The family later moved to Amarillo, where she spent the rest of her life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Vickie met her true love, Gene Paul Fowler, on May 10, 1968. They were married on April 22, 1969, and have been happily and lovingly married for 56 years. Vickie passed away Friday, May 9, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Tanya Jo, her three children Shelley Lynn Fowler, Justin Paul Fowler, and Gene Paul Fowler Jr., and her nephew Kevin Fowler.

She is survived by her husband, Gene; her older sister, Toni Rae Waters and husband Tim Waters; her granddaughter (the joy in her life) Joy Lynn (Fowler) McDonald and husband Sean McDonald; her nieces Kimberly McClure, Keri Cobb and husband Ty Cobb, McKenzie George and husband Colby George, and Wanda Fowler; and many other nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Vickie loved her Lord Jesus, and she loved to dance. We know she is dancing in His arms.
