Wilma was born on March 29, 1937, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Jessie Fite Kimball. The family moved to Wildorado, Texas, in 1942. She attended elementary school in Wildorado and graduated from Vega High School in 1954. She graduated from West Texas State College in 1957.
Wilma married Bennie Newbill in 1957. The couple moved to Ohio for one year while Ben attended Ohio University and Wilma taught first grade at a small coal mining town. They moved to Lubbock, Texas, where Ben attended Texas Tech College and Wilma again taught first grade.
They moved to the Wildorado area and farmed for 23 years while raising three children. Wilma was a skilled seamstress, quilter and a devoted mother. There wasn't anything she couldn't sew, knit or crochet. After retiring from farming, the couple moved to Amarillo in 1984. After the passing of Bennie, Wilma joined the First Baptist Church, where she met and later married William (Bill) Ince. Wilma developed a passion for painting and spent many years enjoying her new hobby. Wilma and Bill volunteered their time at the Perkins Community Center of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Richard; infant sister, Beth; granddaughter, Kendall Meador; daughter-in-law, Karen Newbill; and husbands, Bennie Newbill and William Ince.
She is survived by her three children, Samuel Newbill of Amarillo, Leslie Newbill and wife Ann of Bushland, and Tanya Meador of Amarillo; and grandson, Zackery Newbill of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Perkins Community Center, 1515 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
