Fernando Noel Castillo, 43, of Amarillo, TX went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Fernando was born January 20, 1978, in Dumas, TX to Roy and Mary Charles.  He graduated from Tascosa High School and attended trade school.

Fernando married Samantha Powers on June 19, 2021, in Amarillo, TX.

He worked as a truck driver and painter, enjoyed playing golf, and was the center of attention wherever he went.  Fernando was a wonderful father and husband.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rogelio and Juanita Charles; maternal grandparents, Antonio and Eloisa Gonzales; brother, Roy Joseph Charles.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha Castillo, and their children, Gage and Madilenn, two children, Shelbie and Braden; parents, Mary and Roy Charles; siblings and their spouses, Joe Castillo, Tony and Michelle Castillo, Monica Castillo and Lorenzo Olvera, Amy and Carlos Ortiz, Sabrina and Marcos Roca, Domenique and Nail Abdullayev, and Christy Charles; parents-in-law, Bobby and Faye Powers; sisters-in-law, Shannon and Donnie Pond and Amber Shellnut.  Ferny has numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and his friends were countless.  He never met a stranger.

Oh Ferny, the many things I could say about your huge personality but instead I’ll stick to the memory that first comes to mind..when Maddy was born my first thought was…”Oh, Lord, she looks just like him, he’s definitely gonna be in love!!” And he was, from the moment he saw her. I loved that he made my friend smile so much.
