Douglas Arthur Krahn, 69, of Vega, Texas died Thursday, February 2nd, 2023.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 24, 2023 in First Methodist Church in Vega.

Doug was born on September 21, 1953, in Amarillo, Texas to Donald “Don” Krahn and Annie “Ann” Wiseman Krahn.  He was raised in Vega and attended Vega High School while working for the family business, Krahn’s Truck Stop.  On July 14, 1972, Doug married the love of his life, Jorji Floyd.  They lived and raised their children, Kristopher Dale Krahn and Kellie Rhenea Krahn, in Vega, Texas.  Doug worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass and later owned a business, DJ&L Trucking.  He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, driving his race car, fishing, and watching football, especially the Vega Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills.  He loved his family and ALL of his dogs dearly.  Doug cherished each one of his lifelong friendships as well as the friendships he had developed through the years with Kellie’s friends.  Doug’s happy heart and free spirit was a blessing to all who knew him.  He never met a stranger and was ready to help anytime he could.   He will be missed by all especially his wife Jorji and his daughter Kellie.  In Doug’s words “be cool.”

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ann Krahn, two brothers Phil and Jerry Krahn, and his son Kris Krahn.  Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jorji Krahn of Vega, Texas, and his daughter, Kellie Krahn, of Amarillo, Texas his two dogs, Skippy and Lou Lou and many other friends and family.
