  1. Christy and I were best friends in high school. We had more sleep overs than I can count. She was a good soul. Life changes and we moved but always managed to stay in touch. Please know she was an integral part of my life, when life confusing. We eventually found our place, but I could not have done it without her. JANET

  2. Candy,
The deceptive thing about social media is that you feel like you are still in touch with someone when in essence the gap is growing … Your mother and I were very close for a number of years but then life and geography put us on separate paths. I hope she knew how much I still had her in my thoughts and prayers especially as she struggled with her health … as I do you. I do know she was so very proud of the woman you have become – her daughter and her best friend. And no one championed her family and friends with more ferocious loyalty than your mother! I am so sorry that she did not get to enjoy a long gentle, retired life but glad that she is at peace and without pain. My prayers for comfort go out to you and Steve and Pam and Tanner and all the rest of her family that I had not yet met.

  3. Christine touched more lives than she or or family ever knew. I am one of those lucky ones. My heart goes out to her beloved Steve, her daughter Candy, and her dear sister Pam. Queen Christine will be missed!

  4. I met Christine through the Singles ministry at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa. We had lots of great times singing praise and worship together, Bible Study and just hanging out. Christine was an excellent cook….she catered my wedding when Doug and I got married 20 years ago. She was a very special person and friend and we will all miss her. Thoughts and prayers are with Candy, Steve and all of the family. God Bless.

  5. Christine was a blessing, a bright light and a very much loved member of our online community. It will now be impossible to look up to the heavens and not feel her presence. Blessings to all who loved her & mourn her leaving long before any of us were ready to say goodbye.
