A. J. Baker, 93, of Amarillo, TX passed away on January 9, 2023.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 13, 2023, at The Church at Quail Creek, 801 Tascosa Rd., with Dale Moreland officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

A. J. was born in Hale Center, TX on May 6, 1929, to Alta and Arthur Baker. He served in the Marine Corps at the end of WWII.

A. J. married Bonnie Trout in Amarillo, TX on December 1, 1973.

He was a member of The Church at Quail Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Baker, of the home; children, Mike, Randy, Kari, Carmelita, and Rosanna; ten grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

  1. I met A.J. and Bonnie several years ago. Two of the nicest and sweetest people in the world. He lived a long and wonderful life and will be missed, but he’s in heaven now and rejoicing with Jesus and loved ones. Enjoy eternity A.J.

  2. AJ was the sweetest man I have ever met. I will miss his smiling face, hugs and kisses! I know he will be watching over his loving family.
