She retired in 1999 and moved to Amarillo, Texas, lived in Claude for two years, and finally settled in Vega, Texas in 2019.

Alice was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt devoting her life to her family.  She was also very active in her Catholic faith and loved serving in the church as a  eucharistic minister, sacristan, usher, a volunteer receptionist, and parish committees.

Alice is survived by her children, Mark, Matthew and Irina, Martin and Celine, Michael and Theresa, Maxine and Bobby, and Maurice; her siblings,  Maximo, James, Richard and Rebecca Madril, and Georgiana Salazar; her 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and great-nephews, and great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Rebecca Madril; her two granddaughters, Kaleigh Rose Ford and Audrey Anne Ford; and her husband, Leonel.
