Allton Jagyr Montano

Allton Jagyr Montano, 21, of Amarillo, TX, died on, May 6, 2022.

Services will be at 2 PM, Friday, May 13th, 2022, at South Georgia Baptist Church, with Pastor Bill Gehm and Pastor Doug Gehm officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Allton was born on January 18, 2001, to Paul and Bettye Annette Montano in Amarillo, Texas.

He loved gaming, his friends and family, and getting his hands dirty while working on cars with his dad. He served as a realtor in ‘Montano Real Estate Group’. He believed that being yourself was being unique. He loved telling corny jokes and filling a room with laughter. He preferred wearing vibrant colors and standing out in the crowd. He was goal oriented and very ambitious, a true lover of life and a jack of all trades. Music was one of his biggest passions, he loved collecting and playing guitars. He liked being the typical little brother, making sure to give his brothers a hard time. Many knew him as being “stupid smart” there was nothing he could not figure out. He was known as “JagedHero” or “The Captain” by friends and family. He was a true blessing in this world and put more smiles on people’s faces in his short time here, than most have the chance to do in their entire life.

He was preceded in death by his mother Annette Montano, grandfather Rudy Montano, grandfather James McMorris, grandmother Bettye McMorris, uncle Freddie Montano, uncle Walter Randolph and aunt Brenda Harshman.

Survivors include his father Paul Montano, fiancée Elena Luetkahans, brother Cameron Montano and wife Ashly Montano and their two children Aedion Montano, Cataleya Montano, brother Anthony (AJ) Montano and fiancée Kate Jesson of Amarillo, Texas, grandparents Gloria and Tony Taylor, great-grandma Angie Montano of Amarillo Texas, aunt Tifany Ingram, cousin Jonathan Scholl and wife Jordan Scholl, cousin Nikkia Caple and husband Jeremy Caple of Amarillo, aunt Stephanie Viles of Borger, Texas, aunt Robin Edwards of New Braunfels, Texas.
