Angelique Rickman Whigham, 51, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 24, 2020, at Trinity Fellowship Church with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Angie Whigham was born August 26, 1968 in Dimmitt, Texas to Dennis and Gloria Rickman.  She graduated from Hereford High School and later moved to Amarillo where she worked in childcare and met her husband Stan, whom she married in June of 1991. Angie loved her children dearly.

She devoted her career to serving other children, working for Amarillo ISD for over 20 years.  She was always a sports fan and showed a great devotion to her Aggies. Her dogs and grand dogs were just like her children, and very much adored. Angie attracted many friends as she was always genuine and her care and concern for others knew no bounds. She loved the Lord with her whole heart and was a member of Trinity Fellowship Christian church.

Angie was proceeded in death by her father, Dennis Rickman and mother, Gloria Damron Rickman.

She is survived by her husband, Stan; her son, Stephen Whigham, and wife Kalee; her daughters, Christa, and Katelynn Whigham; nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.  For those whose lives were touched by Angie, a celebration will be held at a later date to be determined when large gatherings can be held.

Flowers may be sent to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors prior to the service.

  3. My Prayers and thoughts are with Katelynn and the family in this time of sadness and loss. Angie was alway a bright light and full of joy and always made me feel blessed no matter the situation. She had the ability to make me laugh at the silliest times. She will be greatly missed. I’m so very grateful that I have the blessed reassurance that I will get to see my wonderful friend again. Maybe not today or tomorrow; but eternally. ❤️🙏🏻😘

  5. Angie was an awesome, kind, loving and funny young lady who will be truly missed by so many. My heart just aches for her family and friends as we will miss her spirit. I loved to call her “Tiny” as much as she enjoyed giving me a hard time and calling me “Little”. Angie’s presence at AHS was such a positive and every second with her helping us in the office was such a joy! My love and prayers to the Whigham family!

  6. My late husband Eldon was best friends with Dennis and we knew Angie since she was a baby. Angie was a sweet loving person. She and Dennis lived with us for a time. I will always remember Angie and our many phone calls in the past months. You can rest now sweet girl. All my love, Ronna Howell

  10. My heart is broken due to the loss of one of my good high school friends. There were so many stories and fun we had with Angie. I can tell you the one thing she was the most proudest of through my conversations with her over the many years were her 3 kids. She loved them with her entire heart and that was evident in the way she would light up when talking about each of them.
