Barbara was born August 19, 1946, in Wenatchee, WA to Robert Burd, Sr. and Lova Belma Reed Burd.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan Antonio Diaz; sister and brother, Karen and Jackie Hollingshed; three other sisters, and grandson, Robert Florez, Jr.
Survivors include son, Robert Montoya and wife Angel; daughter, Angelina Montoya, son, Anthony Diaz and wife Jacinda Diaz; granddaughter, Larissa Lowrance and husband Jeremy; grandson, Matthew Montoya and wife Jasmine Vaughn-Montoya; grandchildren, Kristi, Lee, and Adam Florez, Bobbi Moralez; John Montoya and fiancée Gina Hernandez, Madison, Damian, and David Diaz; and 14 great-grandchildren.
