Betty Zanchettin

Betty Zanchettin passed away on Friday,  October 21, 2022.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday October 28, 2022 at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy, with Bob Shroeder and Jim McKee officiating.   Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Betty was born on May 4

, 1937 in Quanah, Texas to Ernest Robert Breeding and Lydia Tereza Breeding.  She moved to Amarillo at age 14.  She married Dante Gottlieb Zanchettin on February 20, 1954.  Dante and Betty raised two children Deborah and Steven.  Betty’s occupation was a beautician she also had a home catering hobby.  She made cookies, cakes and meals.  She was an awesome cook.  She also volunteered  through her church and other organizations.  She enjoyed her decades long quilting groups and bridge clubs.

It seemed when you entered her home a meal was readily made available to you.  A very generous and kind woman.   She was a member of Paramount Terrance Christian Church and Hillside Christian Church.  A committed Christian lady to the end.

Betty was preceded in death by parents Ernest and Lydia Breeding of Amarillo; her husband, Dante Zanchettin also of Amarillo; sister Marie Youngblood and husband of Weatherford, Texas; brother Ernest Charles (Jr.) Breeding and wife of Amarillo; daughter Deborah (Debbie) Lynn DeBerry; and son-in-law James (Jim) Kent DeBerry; grandson Brent James DeBerry, all of Abilene, Texas.

Betty is survived by son Steve Zanchettin and wife Karen of Amarillo; granddaughter Kendra DeBerry Goetz and husband Terry; and great granddaughter Brynli, all of Aledo, Texas; special niece Rhonda Breeding Burchfield and husband Lynn of Amarillo;  and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to send a special thanks to BSA Hospice Southwest for a wonderful job taking care of Betty.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 6:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
