  1. I too remember Willy from his visits to my grandparents’ home in Canning, South Dakota. He was good humored and easy going. I remember him riding broncs in green chaps. The holes in my grandparents’ kitchen cabinets made while Willy cleaned his shotgun were never repaired. I’m guessing the holes in his red Plymouth(?) made by a highway patrolman were never repaired either. RIP Willy.

  2. This makes me so sad–Willy was a big part of my childhood–watching him ride broncs at the Ft. Pierre SD rodeo and just listening to him talk to my grandparents (Elmer and Lida Anderton Unruh) and his laugh–almost a giggle. I used to spend summers in SD with my grandparents and it was always a treat when he came to visit–he’d lived with them in earlier years. Rest in Peace, Willy, and know you were loved.

  3. know Bill as Willy. He lived with us for a short time. Daddy & Mom loved him as one of their own son’s. Our family think
of him as Brother. The stories I hear there was never a dull moment when JIm, Gary & Willie were together. Oh my, How did my parents handle those 3 in one tiny house?
We love you Willy. May you rest in Jesus arms..
