Bob Hill, 86, of Canyon, Texas passed away on April 30, 2023.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 5, 2023, in the First Baptist Church Chapel, 1208 S. Tyler St. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Bob was born in Ralphswitch, Texas on July 8, 1936, to Stella Hardin and Ishmael Hill. He graduated from Tom S. Lubbock High School and then served in the United States Marines. He had worked for the IRS and farmed for the last forty years. Bob enjoyed snow skiing, driving his Miata, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Bob was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Alex Hill and wife Neisa, of Borger, Texas, and Andy Hill and wife Sarah, of Ganado, Texas; grandchildren, Conner Buckles and husband Robert, Louis Hill, Daniel Hill, and Harrison Hill; and great-grandchildren, Ara and Oliver.
I was very lucky to know Bob, first as a fellow Cowboys fan and then as a friend. Prayers for everyone else who knew him and misses him.
