Bonnie Lee Skelton, 84, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, October 17, 2022.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 24, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.  Burial will be at Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, TX at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Bonnie was born October 15, 1938, in Sweetwater, TX to John “Pete” and Margarett (Hanna) Saunders.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Saunders; mother, Margarett Hanna Saunders; and her brothers, John Saunders Jr. and Robert Saunders.

Survivors include her husband, Mancel Skelton, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Cindy Liesenfelt and husband Jeff, of Richardson, TX, and Sherry Whitaker and husband Larry, of Paris, TX; a son, T.J. Skelton and wife Andrea, of Piedmont, OK; grandchildren, Tory Liesenfelt, Allison Sparks, Kevin Whitaker, David Whitaker, Drew Skelton, and Alex Skelton; great-grandchild, Erin Sparks; siblings, Ted Saunders, and Nancy Whitehorn, both of Cortez, CO.

    I never had the pleasure of meeting Bonnie, but I know you had a wonderful life together.

  2. Mancel, our thoughts go out to you in this time of loss. I did not read about Bonnie’s passing until today, as my obituary reading is just something I do intermittently. Our condolences to the rest of the family as well.
