Brent Carl Koller, 56, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

Graveside services will be at the cemetery in Texline, TX at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2020.

Brent was born February 8, 1964, in Lewiston, ID to Larry and Nelda Koller.

Following high school, Brent earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Nutrition from Washington State.  For twenty-five years, he worked Cactus Feeders, retiring as Director of FED Cattle Sales.

Brent was an avid Washington State Cougars fan, going so far as to convince his NFL loving wife to enjoy college football. He loved to drive and had really great times traveling to North Dakota and Washington to see family. Brent also loved a good debate. He could talk for hours and had a clever and brilliant mind. But most of all, Brent can be best described as a force of nature who was fiercely loyal to his “tribe.”

Brent’s favorite things revolved around growing up on the Snake River in Washington, riding horseback with his cowboys night shipping, or hanging out with family and friends in his yard while beating them at Song Quiz.  It can be said that everything he did was on his own terms, and he gave 100% of himself.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Nelda Koller, a brother, Monty Koller, and stepson, Jonathan Baca.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Koller; a son, Jared Koller; stepson, Robert Baca; stepdaughter, Suzanne Nelson and husband Lucas; granddaughters, Kaegan, Elizabeth, and Veronica; his father, Larry Koller and Carol Wildman; brothers, Jim Koller and wife Terri, and Brian Koller and wife Jana; several nephews and nieces; and many other loving family members.

  2. Brent was a great guy! His brother Monte and I were very good friends. Monte, RIP brother, and his family were our neighbors in Amarillo on Kingston Street for many years. Our kids grew up together and we had great times that I will never forget! I got to know Brent through Monte and also had the pleasure of meeting their parents, Larry and Nelda, awesome people. God bless you Larry, you have been through more than any husband and parent should in a life time! Go rest high on that Mountain Brent with your Mother and Brother, we will all be there some day! Ronnie Walker.

  3. My cousin. I have lots of memories of you at Grandma and Papa’s house — always reading comic books. I thought you were so smart… and unique— different from Jimmy, Monty and Brian…did your own thing—like wrestling. 🙂 Several years ago you messaged me on FB and said you wanted to come visit me. I think my different-than-most-Koller’s political views scared you off. Or maybe things just got busy. But I really wish you had come. I wish you were still here. Love you, Cuz. 🙂

  4. Brent is a good friend and I enjoyed working with him for 15 plus years at Wolf Creek Feedyard. Fly high my friend.

  5. May your heart have peace in the knowledge that Brent was loved by many. He is with Monty and his Mom now and I can just hear all the talking and laughing. May your memories bring comfort in this very sad time. Big Hugs and Prayers.

  6. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I met Brent in the 90’s when I worked for IBP. Jared and my daughter are very close in age as we were all friends then. Brent called me out of the blue several years ago just to catch up. Said he was coming to Alabama soon and would like to go eat when he did. I never heard from him again. He was a great person and I know he will be missed.
