Carl Edward Pinter, 60, of Amarillo, TX passed from this Earth on January 10, 2023.

Carl Edward was born in Macon, Georgia on August 17, 1962, to Paul Edward and Betty Jane Pinter.

Carl grew up in Borger, Texas, and enjoyed spending time at Lake Meredith; waterskiing, boating, fishing, and anything around the lake, and he also enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Carl started kindergarten in Australia in 1967 shortly after the family moved from Australia to Borger.

After he graduated from High School, he worked for the data processing dept

for 3 years at Pantex, he then went on to achieve his bachelor’s in business administration in 1992 from WTSU. From there he worked for the state of Texas MHMR for many years, and at the Prison as the Warden’s assistant. He was a caregiver to his parents until they passed away. After his mother passed away in November of 2017, he met Doug, and they married on May 29, 2018.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Survivors include his husband, Doug Tice, of Amarillo, Texas; and cousin Derrell Dixon, of Canyon, Texas; and aunt, Linda Johnston of Waco, Texas.

  1. Carl and I were friends since high school. We didn’t see each other often, but we kept in touch. He was always so kind, and an easy person to be around. I am terribly sorry that he didn’t get to grow ol and retire with his love Doug. I hope he had a joyous meeting with his parents when they welcomed him back home with them. Rest in peace my friend.

  2. My wife and I were so sad to hear that you passed away. We had many adventures growing up in Meadowlark! I always enjoyed coming to your house and jumping on your trampoline and listening to Justin Wilson records on your stereo! You were a good friend growing up. This world has lost a sweet spirit!

  11. Thoughts and Prayers go Out to Doug and Family at this time of Loss, I Met Carl in 2018 where we became friends and even a roomate for short time. No one could ask for a better friend who would help anyone that needed it,and with a big heart of gold… But definitely Stubborn at times but that is what made him unique. Your laugh and smile will be missed my friend. May you be at peace and reunited with your Mom and Dad.
