Carmen Granillo de Trevizo, de Amarillo, Texas, falleció el 12 de diciembre de 2023.

El Rosario se rezará a las 6:00 p. m., el lunes 18 de diciembre de 2023 en Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. La misa fúnebre se celebrará a las 11:00 a.m., el martes 19 de diciembre de 2023 en la iglesia católica de San Lorenzo. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Llano. Los arreglos están a cargo de Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Carmen nació el 7 de agosto de 1940 en Santa Rosalía de Cuevas, Chihuahua, México, hija de Manuel Granillo y Arcadia Nava. Carmen es la tercera de cuatro hermanos. Vivió una vida bastante sencilla en México, donde dejó muchos recuerdos en ese pequeño pueblo.  Cuando era joven le gustaba estar rodeada de familiares y amigos. Luego se casó con Adrián Trevizo el 27 de marzo de 1960 y ambos formaron una familia. Amaba entrañablemente a todos sus hijos y nietos; También estaba muy feliz de tener 7 bisnietos. Carmen se mudó a Amarillo, Texas alrededor de septiembre de 1999, donde vivió los últimos 24 años de su vida, fue miembro fiel de la Iglesia Católica de San Lorenzo. Carmen era una persona muy positiva y alegre y hacía una amiga con mucha facilidad y también mucha gente tenía la confianza de hablar con ella.  Ella siempre traía esa buena vibra para hacerte sentir especial. Carmen tenía muchas buenas cualidades en este mundo, siempre tenía algún consejo para los jóvenes. Se enorgullecía de decir siempre que tenía ciertos años de estar casada con su esposo Adrián. Para ser exactos, fueron 63 años de matrimonio.  Ese era el principal consejo que siempre daba a los jóvenes: trata de encontrar una pareja que te acompañe en los buenos y malos momentos. A Carmen le encantaba cocinar, coser, hacer ganchillo, irse de vacaciones, ir a la iglesia y pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos. La echaremos mucho de menos ya que es el pilar de la familia Trevizo Granillo. Ella siempre nos reunía y estaba muy orgullosa de ver que la familia siempre estaba unida. Su legado fue decir que no te compliques la vida y no discutas, que digas lo que tengas que decir o te moleste sin herir los sentimientos del otro, pero nunca tener resentimientos, todos deben permanecer como familia y en unión. Carmen fue amada por muchas personas y apostaré a que la echaremos de menos. Carmen siempre fue una persona alegre y siempre con una sonrisa.

A Carmen le preceden en la muerte su hija, Imelda Trevizo De Kuri, su padre Manuel Granillo, su madre Arcadia Nava y su hermano Matilde Granillo.

Le sobreviven su esposo Adrian Trevizo Sr. de Amarillo, Texas; hijos, Salvador Trevizo y su esposa Guillermina de Green River, WY, Javier Trevizo y su esposa Susan de El Paso, TX, Arturo Trevizo y su esposa Anabel de Green River, WY, Adrian Trevizo Jr. y su esposa Rocio de Magna, UT y Armando Trevizo y su esposa Mayra de Syracuse, UT; Hijas Carmela Valencia y esposo Raúl de Arleta, CA; Araceli Trevizo y su esposo René de Amarillo, TX; el hermano Jesús Granillo, de Arizona; la hermana Tomasa Granillo, de Chihuahua, México; 17 nietos; y 7 bisnietos.

Carmen Granillo de Trevizo, of Amarillo, Texas passed away December 12, 2023.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM, Monday, December 18, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Carmen was born August 7, 1940 in Santa Rosalia De Cuevas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel Granillo and Arcadia Nava. Carmen is the third child of four. She lived a pretty simple life in Mexico where she left a lot of memories in that small town.  When she was young, she liked to be surrounded by family and friends. Then she married Adrian Trevizo on March 27, 1960 and both started a family. She dearly loved all her children and grandchildren. She also was so happy to have 7 great-grandchildren. Carmen moved to Amarillo, Texas on or around September 1999, where she lived the past 24 years of her life. She was a faithful member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. Carmen was a very positive and cheerful person and would make a friend very easily and also a lot of people had the confidence to talk to her.  She would always bring that good vibe to make you feel special. Carmen had a lot of good qualities in this world, she always had some advice to the youngsters. She was proud to always say that she had certain years of being married to her husband Adrian. To be exact, it was 63 years of marriage.  That was the main advice she always made to young people, “try to find yourself a partner who will be with you in the good and bad time.” Carmen loved cooking, sewing, crocheting, going on vacations, going to church and spending time with loved ones. She will be missed very dearly as she is the pillar of the family Trevizo Granillo. She would always gather us and was very proud to see that the family was always close. Her legacy was to say “don’t make life difficult and don’t argue, say what you have to say or upsets you without hurting each other’s feelings but never have resentments, everyone should remain as family and in union.” Carmen was loved by many people and will be missed. Carmen was always a happy person and always with a smile.

Carmen is preceded in death by her daughter, Imelda Trevizo De Kuri, her father Manuel Granillo, her mother Arcadia Nava, and her brother Matilde Granillo.

She is survived by her husband Adrian Trevizo Sr. of Amarillo, Texas; sons, Salvador Trevizo and wife Guillermina of Green River, WY, Javier Trevizo and wife Susan of El Paso, TX, Arturo Trevizo and wife Anabel of Green River, WY, Adrian Trevizo Jr. and wife Rocio of Magna, UT and Armando Trevizo and wife Mayra of Syracuse, UT; Daughters Carmela Valencia and husband Raul of Arleta, CA; Araceli Trevizo and husband Rene of Amarillo, TX; brother Jesus Granillo of Arizona; sister Tomasa Granillo of Chihuahua, Mexico; 17 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
