Carol Sue Longcor, 85, of Amarillo, Texas went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2023.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 14, 2023, at First Baptist Church in the Chapel, with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Carol was born on October 23, 1937 in Coloma, Michigan. She was born and raised in Michigan. Carol met her husband David in high school in Constantine. She married David Longcor on June 1, 1956 in Mottville, Michigan and became parents to 3 sons; Brent, Craig, and Steven. The family moved to Amarillo in 1968, where Carol and David owned and operated Longcor Music Company for many years. Carol was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband David (1980); son Brent (2009); 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
She is survived by 2 sons, Craig and wife Diane of Galveston, and Steven and wife Janet of Amarillo, TX; 5 grandkids, Kimberly Grantham and husband Mark of Cedar Park, TX, Joshua Longcor and wife Claire of Houston, TX, Molly Anderson and husband Jordan of Amarillo, TX, Myles Longcor of Amarillo, TX, and Lauren Price and husband Austin of Amarillo, TX; and 10 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Mackenzie, and Fletcher Grantham, Connor, Jackson, and Austin Longcor, Mavis, Georgia, and Violet Anderson, and Ellis Price. She is also survived by 1 sister, Gloria Huber and husband Ken of Sarasota, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the charity of your choice.
