Cindy Cowell, 60, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

A memorial gathering with the family will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Cindy was born May 4, 1962, in Tulia, TX to Dale and Jane Rouk.

She married Brent Cowell on October 23, 1982.  They were partners in life and his business partner in 3C Renovations.

Cindy graduated from Caprock High School and earned her travel agent license in Orlando, Florida.  Cindy loved to travel, and would travel anywhere, anytime.  She enjoyed a 25-year long career as a travel agent.  Her second career, spanning 21 years, was as an administrative assistant at Brown Automotive Group.

Cindy loved her Bunko girls, was an avid reader, loved Pickle Ball, Taco Tuesdays with friends, and floating in the pool while reading a book.  She loved taking care of the ones she loved most, but more than anything, she loved being a mom, and taking Taylor to Dallas every weekend for soccer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Jane Rouk.

Survivors include her husband, Brent Cowell; son, Taylor Cowell; and her brother, Scott Rouk.

  4. Our hearts ache for her family and loved ones. Cindy was an angel among us. She cared so deeply and was a true friend. Her smile and cheerful attitude warmed all who was fortunate to be around her. She will always be a cherished memory for she always made you feel important and loved. We shall keep her spirit alive by striving to be more like her. Cindy will be truly missed here on earth. Her rewards in heaven are great! Prayers for all her family and friends 🙏
