Cindy Kaye Jayroe, 56, of Amarillo, TX died Sunday, March 7, 2021.

Celebration of life services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Chaparral Hill Baptist Church with Eugene Polasek officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Cindy was born February 22, 1965, in Santa Cruz, CA to Jim and Joyce Smith.  She was a longtime resident of Amarillo.  She married Tim Jayroe on July 25, 1987.

Cindy worked for Rumors Lounge for more than twenty-five years and purchased it sixteen years ago.   She was an avid crafter and loved putting smiles on people’s faces.  She also loved to travel to interesting places.

Survivors include her husband Tim Jayroe, of Amarillo, TX; two sons, Dustin Bissell and Melissa Vasquez Bissell, and Joshua Jayroe, both of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Jezebel Bramblet, Anthony Bramblet, and Mosin Bissell; mother, Joyce Tyler, of Amarillo, TX; sister, Becky Polasek and husband Eugene, of Amarillo, TX; three brothers, Chub Smith and wife Sonja, of Amarillo, TX;  Mike Tyler, of Charlotte, NC; and Jerrel Tyler of Amarillo, TX;  several nieces and nephews.

    I meet Cindy for the first time 2 Sundays ago of March 7th
    My plans was to go out Saturday to meet her again because of the love she gave me it was unbelievable being that it was my first time there I’m way from SC 22 hours away from home 🏡 and Cindy looked me in my eyes and said to me you better come back and see me !
    I made a promise I would ! And I’m here but God saw it in a different way for me to see Cindy again in his arms where she lay as I went in the closet on Sunday to Pray and Cry on the fact that they took my newest dear friend i fain in Amarillo Texas as I try and transition over !

    I am so sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine the pain you are experiencing now. I wish I could do something to lessen the grief, the loss when I met you at TSTC in the graphic design program I recall the many stories you told me about your life with Cindy. It made me think many times that I want a wife like that. I want that type of love, I thank God I found it. I know it’s been a long time since we’ve hung out and talked but know that you and Cindy made a major impact on my life and the way I viewed the institution of marriage.
