Clifford Axton
Clifford Axton, 74, of Amarillo, TX passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Clifford was born November 27, 1948 in Elk City, OK. He grew up in Martha, OK where he graduated from Martha High School in 1966. He moved to Amarillo, TX and began working for Bell Helicopter. Clifford met and fell in love with Dianna Lockhart and married in 1969. They would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on November 28, 2023. During these years, they had two sons, Kenny, and Jamie. After the closing of Bell Helicopter, Clifford went on to driving a semi-truck for Glover Packing then he finally retired from IBP. Clifford was happiest telling jokes, and making people laugh.
Survivors include his wife Dianna of Amarillo, TX; son, Kenny Axton and partner Adhe Jimenez of Austin, TX, and son Jamie Axton and wife Cynamon of Amarillo, TX; two granddaughters, Ashley Cruz and husband Leland of Amarillo, TX and Kadence Axton of Amarillo, TX; one grandson, Koy Axton of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Elizabeth Lewallen and Judy Kidd both of Piedmont, OK; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
