Craig Lee Pillard, 66, of Amarillo, TX passed away on June 14, 2022.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch Chapel, 15 Julian Bivins Ave, Boys Ranch, TX.

Craig was born in Dallas, TX on September 15, 1955, to Ina Belle and Leonard Harry Pillard. He served in the United States National Guard.

Craig was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his grandkids. He graduated from Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in 1974 and eventually went to work for Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch as the Meat Coordinator. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his job.

Craig loved to fish, golf, work in his shed, tinker with things, and drink tea. He was a fan of John Wayne and the Dallas Cowboys. His favorite song was “The Old Rugged Cross.”

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Pillard; son, Michael Pillard and wife Heather; daughter, Jamie Michelle Moore and husband Jeff; grandkids, Karson Pillard, Dawson Pillard, Ashlyn Pillard, and Brittney Moore; four nephews; and two nieces.

The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, 600 SW 11th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79101.

  2. I will miss you sweet friend. I’m still in shock you left so suddenly! I hope you knew how much we loved you. We have been a part of the same work family for 16 years. There is no way we will ever find someone to fill your shoes. You have been there for each of us helping us with so much! You worked so hard and you have been such an awesome mentor to so many. When someone met you, they never forgot you. My thoughts and prayers will continue for Cindy and your family! Job well done Craig Pillard!!! Rest in Peace My Friend!

  3. I worked with Craig for 3 years. He was a awesome man. The kids loved and respected him. Rest in Peace my friend. We will meet again.

    He invited me to watch him & the kids do there work in the sloter house I was very impressed
    how well they listened to Craig ” job well done ”

  5. I recall the day Craig and Cindy met at a Kid’s Inc. practice we coached. I also remember well the day Craig wrecked my knee in wrestling. I’m sorry we didn’t stay in touch better. I’ll miss you, my friend, until we meet again!
