Crescencio Murguia Lopez, 87, of Amarillo, TX passed away March 9, 2023.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers.
Crescencio was born April 19, 1935, in Guadalajara, Mexico to Raymundo Murguia and Felipa Lopez. He loved to sing and was a very friendly man. His family meant everything to him. Crescencio worked in Commerce making corn on the cob and would work all hours of the day to make sure his family had what they needed. He was the second oldest brother of the family and taught his younger brothers how to work and provide for their families. Crescencio loved to eat and enjoyed experiencing new restaurants around Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nestor Murguia Lopez; sister, Maria Santos Murguia Lopez.; and 2 great-grandchildren, Nito Tohala and Adriel Murguia.
Crescencio is survived by wife Josefina Velazquez; children, Raymundo Murguia (M. Lourdes), Alfonso Murguia (Irma), Teresa Estrada (Leopoldo), Jose Murguia, Salvador Murguia (Rosa), J. Cruz Murguia (Bertha), M. Magdalena Murguia, Victor Murguia (Adriana), J.
