Daniel Collie, 27, of Amarillo, TX passed away on October 4, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 8, 2020, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Daniel was born on March 15, 1993, in Amarillo, TX to Dennis Collie and Sharon Collie.

Loved by all and missed by many. Daniel grew up in Amarillo, TX. He attended Tascosa High School.

Daniel loved the outdoors, and he was a very hard worker. He worked at the Tascosa Golf Course and enjoyed riding golf carts, cutting cups, and watering the greens. Daniel very much enjoyed time at the river, mudding, bonfires, camping, and shooting guns.

Daniel loved all animals, especially his dogs, Junior, Chilli Pepper, and Buddy. He took great care of his animals. They were very spoiled.

Daniel was eager to learn, independent, and strong. There were never any technical difficulties that he could not fix. He was exceptionally gifted with electronics. Daniel could build his own computers as well as help anyone with theirs. He enjoyed playing video games, computer games, old school games, and Nintendo games.

Daniel also worked at Advance Auto Parts. He had a passion for working on his cars. He also had a collection of cars including a golf cart and a dump truck.

Daniel had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his pranks. He was also known for his laugh, love, and many would say he was the purest soul you could meet. Daniel was very dependable. He was always willing to help everyone and had a kind temperament.

Daniel had fantastic taste in music. His favorite was classic rock.

He enjoyed family time and was very much a family man. He was known for having fun and being responsible.

Daniel planned on moving to the mountains of Colorado with his best friend Allen to enjoy everything the state had to offer.

Daniel was very well taken care of by his loving sister, Jennifer Skipworth. She never left his side.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Sharon Collie, and his grandparents.

His is survived by his big brothers, Dylan Collie, and Jeremy Turlington; sister, Jennifer Skipworth; best friend, Allen Frederick; brother-in-law, Michael Hill; sister-in-law, Nyx Ward; aunt, Casey Olguin; uncle Randal Duran; nephews, Xander Allen, Jayden Turlington, and  Hudson Skipworth; nieces, Ridley Frederick and Jentry Lopez; aunts and uncles, Chuck and Paula Oliver, Belinda Ladd, Cynthia and Norm Brehm, Donna Hutsell; and Tommy and Connie Oliver; and numerous cousins.

  1. Daniel, I will miss your smile and your upbeat attitude and all our random conversations as I changed your PICC line dressings every week. You were a joy to be around. Rest in peace my friend and watch over your sister and family and friends! I know you are in a better place, it is always harder on the ones left behind!

  3. Im so sorry to see that your no longer with the world, you and i weren’t close or anything but we had the same group of friends and anything ive ever heard about you had never been anything short of how great you we’re. I know you will be greatly missed.
