Dario H. Leyva

Dario H. Leyva, 99, of Dumas, died on Thursday, March 16, 2023.  Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Templo Elim, 921 Klein, with Eleazer Galindo officiating.  Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Dario was born on January 19, 1924 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Julian and

Federica Leyva.  He had farmed and worked as a cowboy most of his life.  He loved to sing and spend time with his family.  He enjoyed playing games and was very kind, loving, funny, and a good friend to many people.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Saturnina Leyva, and a grandson, Jason Hernandez.

He is survived by his children, Onesimo Leyva and wife Elsa of Midland, Rene Leyva and wife Florencia of Midland, Ismael Leyva and wife Abigail of Borger, Aricela Hernandez and husband Pedro of Dumas, Norma Galindo and husband Eleazer of Guymon, Leony Leyva and wife Maria of Corpus Christi, Nora Olivas and husband Sergio of Dumas, and Gloria Olivas of Midland; sisters, Estella Villa and Ramona Leyva, both of Odessa; brother, Brijido Leyva of Roswell; twenty-three grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
