
Darlene Margaret Ramos, 57, of Amarillo, TX passed away October 29, 2023.
Darlene will be available for viewing from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM, Thursday, November 2, 2023. Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM, Friday, November 3, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Darlene was born February 14, 1966 in Riverside, California to Rudy Spencer and Virginia Vigil. She graduated from Job Corp and attended San Jose State University. Darlene married Enrique Ruiz in 1989 after meeting in junior high. She enjoyed helping the homeless and anyone she came across that needed her help. Darlene loved her children with everything in her and would do anything for them. When she said anything, she meant “ANYTHING”. She was humble, to the point, heartfelt, loving, and a go getter! She made sure her family knew she was always cheering them on. She loved her 2 dogs and would take them on every adventure she went on.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rudy Spencer; brother, Rudy Joe Spencer, Jr.; and grandparents, Ray Vigil and Margaret Vigil.
Darlene is survived by her mother, Virginia Frances Vigil; husband, Enrique R. Ruiz; 2 dogs which she considered her babies, Muneca and Boo Boo Kitty; son, Gabriel A. Spencer and wife Iris; daughter, Felicia M. Ruiz-Ortiz and wife Mo; son, Christopher Jr. Sifuentez and wife Gabriela; son, Derek A. Sifuentez; and son David J. Spencer-Ruiz; 14 grandchildren, Eliza Dever, Conner Teague, Nevaeh Dever, Maddox Michel, Caleb Sifuentez, Aaliah Sifuentez, Christopher Sifuentez, III., Katelyn Sifuentez, Sam Spencer, Guyel (Max) Spencer, Rico Alvarez, Ringo Alvarez, Sophia Spencer, and Leo Benjamin Spencer; 1 great-grandson, Kaydence Dever; 1 brother, David Elizalde; and 3 sisters, Cynthia (Cindy) Carrasco, Berta Fuentes, and Josette Marchese.
I just heard of your passing. You became a friend when I attended Bowie and we had some fun and crazy days. We lost track of each other over the years but will always have the memories. RIP my friend.
I sat with you yesterday, watched you as you layed there peacefully, I was remembering all the good times together so many laughs. You were my best friend I will forever remember you, I pray a blessing over you and I know you’re in a better place. You have gone to soon, my deepest condolences to your family, I will be there to celebrate your going home, Fly High and Rest In Peace my beloved beautiful Angel, I love you forever Darlene, keep watch over me.

I only met you for a brief moment at your Mom’s. But I know in that moment that u were a good person and had a big ❤️ .just the way u came in and presented yourself to me. We spoke briefly, had a laugh or two on your sister Berta ‘s account! And we said our goodbyes.
Just so the family knows that my heart goes out to all of you and know that she is up there helping giving loving and especially watching over ALL of you.
